How does the payment process work?

For customers:

  1. Open the Cashfree app;
  2. Scan the QR-code of the Vendor;
  3. Confirm the payment with your touch ID or four-digit code.

For merchants:

  1. Open the Cashfree app;
  2. Type the amount to be paid;
  3. Wait for payment confirmation.
What are the costs for consumers?

Cashfree is completely free of charge for customer. There are no additional costs attached to mobile payment.

What does the available amount mean?

After registration you start with a €50 available amount. When you have completed all the pending actions in the settings the amount will be raised to €250.
“Available” amount is the maximum amount that you can use from your bank account to pay with Cashfree. This amount goes down with the used amount each time you use Cashfree, and goes up with the same amount each time Cashfree debits your bank account. Your bank account therefore, is only being debited with an amount when you use Cashfree for that amount.

How does a merchant know that he has been paid?

With every mobile payment with the Cashfree app the merchant receives a confirmation in their own app. You can also find that same transaction in the transaction history. No paper receipts like with expensive terminals. Everything in 1 useful app, available everywhere through your smartphone.

How does a customer confirm a payment?

The consumer confirms with their fingerprint, pincode or Face-ID. Safe mobile payment without bankcards. That’s Cashfree.

How does the payment process work?

The Consumer:

  1. Open the Cashfree app
  2. Scan the QR-code
  3. Confirm the payment

The Merchant:

  1. Open the Cashfree app
  2. Enter the amount to request
  3. Wait for customer confirmation

It’s that simple!

When does the merchant receive the payment of the customer?

Cashfree is an instant payment service meaning the payment is guaranteed to the merchant from the moment the merchant receives the message that the payment has been done, i.e. at the moment the customer approves the payment. The funds will reach the merchant according to the Rules and Regulations of the Cashfree Payment Scheme: same day if shopper and merchant have the same bank; max two business days after the payment for a different bank.

How does a merchant receive funds he has collected with Cashfree?

The funds are transferred directly to his registered bank account.

Are there any limits to the amount a merchant can collect?

There are no limits to the amount a vendor can receive, except from the the limit set by your bank that holds your account.

How can I deactivate an employee in the app?

You can easily manage, add, deactivate and delete app users by going to ‘settings’ –> ‘my employees’

What are the transactions costs for merchants?

For transactions of € 5,00 or more, a fee of € 0,06 will be charged. 
For transactions of less than € 5,00, a fee of € 0,02 will be charged.

Do you offer discounts on very large transaction volumes?

Are there any other costs?

Apart form the transaction costs there are no other costs that we will charge.

What is the transaction cost of a payment failure?

We never charge for a payment failure. We only charge for successful payments.

What is the transaction cost for a chargeback or refund?

Transaction costs for chargebacks or refunds are identical to the normal transaction costs, which is € 0,06 per transaction.

What are the transaction costs for customers?

Cashfree is completely free of charge for customer. There are no additional costs attached to mobile payment.
